Declaration
In The International Declaration on Human Genetic Data states:
"The persons and entities responsible for the processing of human genetic data, human proteomic data and biological samples should take the necessary measures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, quality and security of human genetic data and the processing of biological samples. They should exercise rigor, caution, honesty and integrity in the processing and interpretation of human genetic data, human proteomic data and biological samples, in view of the ethical, legal and social implications of human genetic data."
"Where the collection, processing, use and storage of human genetic data, human proteomic data or biological samples take place in two or more countries, the ethics committees of the countries concerned should be consulted, as necessary, and the issues should be examined in the light of the principles set out in this Declaration and of the ethical and legal norms adopted by the countries concerned and within the limits of their relevance. "
